EPS Point System: Achieving Your Dream Job in Korea

๐Ÿ” What is the EPS Point System?

If you dream of working in Korea, you must know about the EPS Point System. It evaluates your skills and potential fairly, offering opportunities based on ability, not luck. This system helps Korean companies secure skilled workers and helps you pursue your goals.

It evaluates Korean language ability, technical skills, and job qualifications. It's designed to ensure a fair, transparent selection for foreign workers. If you're serious about working in Korea, study this system thoroughly!

๐Ÿงช Test Process: First and Second Evaluations

The EPS Point System includes two stages:

๐Ÿ“˜ First Stage: Korean Language Proficiency Test
  • Tests vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and understanding of Korean culture
  • Conducted via CBT (Computer Based Test) or UBT in some countries
๐Ÿ› ️ Second Stage: Functional Skills & Job Ability Evaluation
  • Physical Test: Health and stamina check
  • Interview: Basic conversation and self-introduction
  • Skills Test: Sector-specific technical skills (e.g. manufacturing, agriculture, construction, fishing)
  • Job Ability: Bonus points for experience, training, certifications

✅ What Scores Do You Need to Pass?

To pass the 1st stage:

  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Manufacturing: 55 out of 100 points
  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Special sectors: 36 out of 90 points

But passing score alone is not enough — only the top scorers within 2x the number of expected hires are selected. The final selection combines both 1st and 2nd evaluations:

Sector Korean Test Skills Test
Manufacturing 100 pts 100 pts
Special Sectors 90 pts 110 pts

๐Ÿ“ˆ Tip: The higher your total score, the better your chances. Prepare for both stages equally.

๐Ÿ‘ค Who Can Apply?

  • ๐Ÿ“ Age: 18 to 39 years
  • ๐Ÿ“ No criminal record (no prison sentence)
  • ๐Ÿ“ No deportation or exit bans from Korea or your country
  • ๐Ÿ“ Less than 5 years stay in Korea under E-9 or similar visa
